Awake. Night
writing.
Sleepless. Uncomfortable.
Ideas swimming.
Realization dawning.
And I'm arguing with myself.
No way to win
When you're the one who loses.
Turmoil. Disorganized.
In need of some repairs.
Attention to things.
Things with no soul. No rhythm.
Things like bills. Like cleaning.
Like a career that interests me.
Awake. Night writing.
And I need something
With soul to write about.
My brain is stuck on work.
On offices. On money.
And her.
She's soulful. She has rhythm.
She'll be here at the cabin soon.
Here where time stands still.
Where the timbers tilt together.
Great inverted Vs above my head.
A page. All I want is a page.
Awake. Night writing.
Sleepless. Uncomfortable.
